Liverpool FC transfer news: Liverpool target Matthijs de Ligt hints at Juventus move

Super agent Mino Raiola could be the key to Matthijs de Ligt’s next club as the Ajax defender spoke about a move to Juventus.

The 19-year-old has been incredible for Ajax this season and has been linked with Liverpool, according to the Mirror.

The other clubs interested in his services are Barcelona, Manchester United, Manchester City and Bayern Munich (h/t Mirror).

Ajax have already lost Frenkie de Jong to Barcelona as he joins them in the summer. De Ligt was speaking to Tuttosport and didn’t rule out a move to Juventus but added that Raiola would look into the move:

“[A move to Juventus] could happen, but there are others who are also interested .

“We’ll see at the right time. At the moment I’m fully focused on Ajax and my agent Raiola is taking care of the rest. Also, [Frenkie] de Jong hasn’t spoken to me about a move to Barcelona.”

The defender also praised Juventus defenders Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci and claimed they were examples for young players like him.

De Ligt to face Juve soon

Ajax have been paired with Juventus in the Champions League quarter-finals, and it will be interesting to see how he deals with the threat of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Dutch defender is set for great things in the future and would be great at the Reds. The 19-year-old would also play alongside international teammate Virgil van Dijk at Anfield.
