Liverpool FC transfer news: David Neres keeps options open after great season with Ajax

The Mirror reports that Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in Ajax winger David Neres.

The Brazilian has been excellent for the Dutch giants and has 11 goals and 10 assists in all competitions this season.

The 22-year-old scored a wonderful goal against Juventus in the Champions League and was asked about his future after the win over Vitesse a couple of days ago.

The Brazilian told Voetbal Primeur that he will see what is best for him (h/t Mirror):

“I have to see what is best for me, for my career and my family.

“We will see what the future holds, but I have a contract here and I am satisfied here.”

Premier League rivals make move for Neres

Everton are also interested in the 22-year-old, and the report adds that the Toffees have initiated talks over a £43.5m move for the Brazilian.

There is also interest from AS Roma and Borussia Dortmund, according to the Mirror, and Neres would make a wonderful addition for most top clubs in Europe.

The 22-year-old has the pace, skill and ability to provide Liverpool with a different outlet compared to Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

The Reds need some competition and cover for the pair and Neres has the potential to become even better in the coming years.
