Latest Liverpool transfer news: PSV pair linked with Reds to be sold in summer

Dutch reports (h/t Mirror) claim that PSV Eindhoven are considering selling two of their stars in the summer.

PSV are in a tight race with Ajax for the Eredivisie title but the report claims that Steven Bergwijn and Hirving Lozano could be offloaded.

Liverpool have been linked with the players in the past and the report adds that Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United are interested in the pair too.

Plenty of goals between the two players

Lozano and Bergwijn have scored 33 goals and provided 22 assists between them this season. The pair can play on either side of the attack and have also been deployed as the centre-forward this season too.

Mexican international Lozano seems set to leave the club, as PSV boss Mark van Bommel expects the 23-year-old to play elsewhere, according to the report.

PSV won’t let the pair leave on the cheap as the Dutch giants want at least £55million for the players (h/t Mirror).

Liverpool could do with more wide options next season as we have been fairly fortunate regarding injuries to our top players.

Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah need some quality cover in the coming campaign, and Lozano or Bergwijn would be great at Liverpool.

Bergwijn is only 21 and both players will develop further under Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds made some great signings in the previous summer window, and it will be interesting to see who we target once the season ends.
