Latest Liverpool news: Andy Robertson set to play in Champions League final

The Daily Record claims that Andy Robertson will be fit for the Champions League final against Tottenham.

The Scottish left-back was replaced at half-time in Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Barcelona on Tuesday.

However, the injury is not considered as serious and the report adds that Robbo had a scan on his right leg but nothing major was found.

The report claims that more tests are scheduled for Thursday and the left-back will not be risked for our final Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Reds could pip Manchester City to the title on Sunday should the Cityzens drop points against Brighton and we defeat Wolves.

No risks to be taken at Anfield

The report adds that Robertson will not be risked against Wolves at Anfield with James Milner likely to play as the left-back on Sunday.

The Englishman took up that position once Robertson left the pitch against Barcelona on Tuesday.

Liverpool would have a couple of weeks to prepare for the Champions League tie after the season ends, and hopefully, we go into the clash as Premier League champions.

Robertson will be one of the keys into breaking down the Tottenham side and we need to be in the best shape to defeat Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

Spurs also charted their own incredible comeback story against Ajax on Wednesday, but we should start the final as favourites on 1 June.
