Liverpool FC transfer news: Reds interested in re-signing Suso from AC Milan

Tuttomercatoweb (h/t Liverpool Echo) claims that Liverpool are interested in their former star Suso.

The 25-year-old has done a great job at Milan since joining the club from the Reds. The Spaniard scored 8 goals and provided 10 assists for the Serie A giants and has impressed in nearly every season in Italy.

The report claims that Milan could be forced to sell their star should they fail to finish in the Champions League positions this season.

Suso would be available for €38million, according to the report, with Arsenal and Tottenham interested in the services of the Spaniard.

The right player at the wrong time for Liverpool?

The Spaniard can play in the midfield or in the attack and it was a surprise when we let him leave a few years ago.

Suso has quality and could do a good job at any Premier League club, however, it is difficult to see where he would fit at Liverpool.

Our midfield is stacked with quality players and so is our attack. The Spaniard would want to start regularly for us and that would be hard to guarantee under Jurgen Klopp.

Georginio Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Jordan Henderson and James Milner have all done well this season while Naby Keita was starting to show his quality before picking up an injury.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is also back from a long-term injury and the Englishman would be expected to play a lot of games for us next season.
