Liverpool FC transfer news: Inter Milan bid €60million for Liverpool target Nicolas Pepe

Nicolas Pepe was one of the stars for Lille in Ligue 1 as they finished second behind Paris Saint-Germain.

Les Dogues will play Champions League football next season and Pepe helped by scoring 22 goals and providing 11 assists in the Ligue 1 campaign.

The Ivorian has been one of the best players in the French league this season and France Football (h/t Liverpool Echo) claims that Liverpool have increased their interest in the 24-year-old.

Pepe also has garnered interest from other clubs, and the report adds that Inter Milan have bid €60million for the winger.

Lille are waiting for other offers as they seek a bidding war for their talent, and the report claims that Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are expected to reply soon.

More attackers needed at Anfield?

Liverpool have a fantastic first XI but our attacking options on the bench aren’t comparable to Manchester City’s. The Cityzens can call upon players such as Riyad Mahrez or even Leroy Sane in certain situations from the bench while they also have Gabriel Jesus to replace Sergio Aguero.

The Reds bought smartly, with Xherdan Shaqiri doing his bit this season but Pepe seems to be set for another challenge.

The 24-year-old plays down the right and should be able to play on the opposite flank too. The Ivorian could provide quality competition to Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah should he join the Reds.
