Latest Liverpool transfer news: Klopp could allow Kent to leave Liverpool next week

The Daily Record claims that Ryan Kent could be allowed to leave Liverpool next week despite being a part of the pre-season training camp.

The English winger enjoyed a great season at Rangers, and the report claims that the Gers have the first option should Kent leave the Reds on loan again.

Rangers cannot afford to sign Kent on a permanent deal, with Liverpool valuing the youngster at more than £10m, and a loan deal is an option they are looking at (h/t Daily Record).

Steven Gerrard is hopeful of landing his top target for the summer, and the report adds that Jurgen Klopp will finalise his team for the tour of the USA after the friendlies against Tranmere and Bradford.

Kent set to feature for the Reds

Liverpool do not have the services of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino to call upon.

Salah and Firmino are away on breaks after their international commitments while Mane is still playing in the Africa Cup of Nations. The report claims that Kent should feature in the two upcoming clashes, with Klopp handing chances to some of the younger talents at Liverpool.

Liverpool have already sent one youngster to Rangers on loan, with Sheyi Ojo already a part of their pre-season.
