Liverpool FC transfer news: Liverpool interested in Brazilian teenager Reinier

The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool are keen on 17-year-old Brazilian Reinier.

The youngster is yet to play for Flamengo’s first-team but is considered as one of the brightest talents coming from the South American nation (h/t Daily Mail).

The midfielder is under contract till December 2020 and the report claims that he will not be allowed to leave till January when he turns 18.

Liverpool aren’t the only ones interested in Reinier with Manchester City, Barcelona, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Everton keen on the youngster (h/t Daily Mail).

Joao Pedro, another quality youngster coming through the ranks at Fluminense, finalised a deal to join Watford recently.

Watford paid a fee up-front and will sign the youngster once he turns 18.

The report claims that teams could follow this route in hopes of landing Reinier.

The youngster will be watched by scouts again this week when the U17 Brazil side face Paraguay (h/t Daily Mail).

Liverpool looking at young talent now

The Reds have been relatively quiet this summer when compared to the same period last season and have only signed Sepp van den Berg.

The youngster is expected to play a part in the first-team next season and we are also banking on Rhian Brewster to develop into a quality forward.

The English talent has the potential to be great and has been on the score-sheet in two pre-season games this season.

Brewster could play a huge role for us after Daniel Sturridge’s exit, and it will be interesting to see if we sign more young talent before the end of the window.
