Liverpool baulk at Dortmund’s £127million price tag for Sancho
Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool have been long-term admirers of Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho (h/t Athletic).
The attacking phenomenon has been tearing it up in the Bundesliga for die Schwarzgelben this season, having notched up 12 goals and 11 assists in 23 appearances (h/t Whoscored).
He is the only player in Europe’s top five leagues who has notched up double figures with respect to both goals and assists this season, thus further increasing his stock in the transfer market.
The proficiency and playing style of the Englishman would add another dimension to the Liverpool attack, making it a welcome addition.
Influential journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft has reported that Dortmund have slapped a price tag of £127million on Sancho.
We don’t see Liverpool paying such a large sum and it is understandable that interest in Sancho, for now, has cooled.

Fjortoft also went on to report that Dortmund expect Sancho to stay until the summer and that no transfer deal will take place in the January transfer window.
Liverpool have already added Takumi Minamino to provide depth in the attack and can afford to wait until the summer to see if any sort of deal can be ironed out for Sancho.
