Henderson, who was imperious against the Foxes, was forced to come off in the 82nd minute for Adam Lallana. The midfielder was in considerable pain as he appeared to hurt his shin after a coming together with Leicester’s Ayoze Perez.

It was a heart in the mouth moment for the Liverpool fans and this threatened to overshadow the team’s best performance of the season.

Thankfully for us, Klopp has confirmed that the skipper fine and is in contention to play against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.

“Jordan is okay. He got a kick on the shin, it was bleeding afterwards. He said he could have played on!”

The news will be music to the ears of the Reds fans as the captain put up another scintillating performance.

Henderson bossed the midfield and controlled the tempo as Liverpool put Leicester to the sword.

With the club chasing its first league title in 30 years, it is essential that important players like Henderson are fit and available as we reach the business end of the season.
