Djibril Cisse Arrested Over A Sextape Blackmail Saga
A shocking report from France reveals that ex-Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse has been arrested over alleged sex tape blackmail of Mathieu Valbuena on Tuesday morning.
Along with Cisse, 3 other people were arrested too and were taken to custody elsewhere in France. Le Progres confirmed that Cisse was released later the same day without appearing before a judge.
After coming back from the Police custody, the ex-Liverpool star says that he was just questioned by the police and he did try his best to warn Valbuena on this issue.
Te told French TV programme Touche Pas A Mon Poste,
“It’s a thing that could have been very bad for me and for him,”
“So they came to hear my side of the story. I never swindled [anyone]. Mathieu’s a friend. We were at Marseille together and I used to bring him to training.
“So there wasn’t any swindling — I just warned him to be careful. He made a complaint, my name was included as part of it and they heard me. That’s all.”
Cisse played for Liverpool between 2004-2007 and has scored 13 goals in 49 games for the Anfield side. He later played for Sunderland and QPR as well.
