1. Jordan Rossiter
The 18-year-old has been at Liverpool since 2003 (his age at that time was 6). His strongest position is Centre Midfield, but he can also play as a defensive midfielder. The young Englishman is often considered as a next Steven Gerrard by the media. And this comparison cannot be denied because Rossiter’s game has similarities to that of Gerrard’s. He has made a couple of appearances for Liverpool’s senior side. Out of his two appearances for the senior side, one was in a Capital One match and he even scored a goal to mark his senior team debut. He made his premier league debut for Liverpool this season against Arsenal when he came on as a substitute. At the age of 18 he is already the captain of Liverpool’s U-21 team. He was named as Liverpool’s Academy Player Of The Year (2013-14).

The 18-year-old winger was brought to Liverpool academy from MK Dons academy in 2011. He has not made any appearances for Liverpool’s senior side but has gone out for loan twice. His first loan was to Wigan during last winter transfer. He could not score any goals, but he put up some impressive performances. He was selected for Liverpool’s pre-season tour this time and he put up very good performances and scored one goal. He then moved to Wolverhampton on loan, where he is currently having a good time. He has got 2 goals and 3 assists to his name out of 13 appearances in the English Championship. He has also scored one goal out of two appearances in the league cup. The young winger is known for his dribbling ability, quickness and creativity.
3. Allan Rodriguez De Souza
The 18-year-old Brazilian central midfielder was bought from Internacional (Brazilian club) by Liverpool for a fee of £500,000 in this summer transfer window. At such a young age, he was considered as an important player at Internacional. He is yet to make any appearances for any of the Liverpool sides (Senior team, U-21 or U-18). He went out on loan to Finnish side SJK until January. The Brazilian impressed in Finland and out of eight appearances he scored one goal and assisted four. The youngster has returned to Melwood with a medal around his neck ( He won the Finnish league with SJK). The player looks like an absolute gem and could turn out to be a star for Liverpool in the future. His preferred position is central midfield and he is very good at playmaking from his deep position. He is known for his passing and is also a good box to box midfielder. Liverpool fans are waiting to see him play on the pitch even if it’s for the academy team.
These are just three players from the Liverpool academy. Liverpool’s academy has more talents like these and we cannot predict who will come out as superstars in the future. Players like Jerome Sinclair, Cameron Brannagan, Service Canos, Joe Maguire, etc are very talented and could be superstars.
