Liverpool Player Ratings vs Bordeaux
Simon Mignolet – 4.5/10
His mistake directly led to Bordeaux’s first goal. Thankfully for him, it didn’t cost the game for the Anfield side.
Nathaniel Clyne – 6.5/10
A decent game for the English fullback. He was a threat going forward and also tracked backed to defence when needed.
Alberto Moreno – 6/10
A typical performance from Alberto. Very comfortable going forward but not that comfortable when defending against opponent wingers. He needs to improve his defensive side of his gameplay.
Kolo Toure – 6/10
Former Arsenal star managed to complete full 90 minutes after a long time. A decent game.
Dejan Lovren – 7/10
You can see the clear improvement in his gameplay after the arrival of Klopp. Solid stuff from the ball playing defender. Can he be our own version of Hummels? Well, Only time can answer that question.
Lucas – 6/10
Anchored the midfield like he always does. That inch-perfect ball to Firminho deserved a good finish.
Joe Allen – 6.5/10
Completed more tackles than any other player on the pitch. Another improving player.
Jordon Ibe – 6/10
The pacey winger started the game well but faded in the second part of the game.
Roberto Firmino – 5/10
This is not the Firmino what we saw against Manchester City. Gave away possession on more than one instance. Maybe, he missed Coutinho working those sweet one-touch passes around him.
James Milner – 6/10
Scored his penalty, but somehow it feels like he is not the same player that he once was. Hopefully, he will prove us wrong here.
Christian Benteke – 7.5/10
Could have scored a hattrick if only the refs were more lenient on the night. Took his goal well and he was a constant threat throughout the game. Man of the Match!
Subs:
Emre Can – 6/10 – Did his job.
