Talks of Liverpool signing Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato have been rife for a few weeks now. If reports from Don Balon are to be believed, the Merseyside club are in advanced talks to sign the Corinthians striker.
Currently on loan at Sao Paulo, the former AC Milan man has drawn interest from a number of European sides including Arsenal and Tottenham. The 26 year old, whose career was abrupted with an injury, has now found his scoring boots finding the back of the net on 26 occasions. With his loan ending in January, he will be back to Corinthians.
In a further twist to the story, his agent, Riccardo Napolitano has revealed that atleast 2 more SerieA clubs are keen on signing the striker. The pursuit of the player by Liverpool has been met with mixed reaction by the Kop as they believe signing him would mean having two injury prone strikers at the club (Sturridge, of course the other one).
