Liverpool is in talks to sign Borussia Dortmund player Mats Hummels. As we all know Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is on the move to transfer his old players from Dortmund to Liverpool. When asked, Klopp said
“But there is no agreement that we can’t do business with Dortmund. There’s also no agreement that we can’t sell players to Dortmund!”- jugen klopp
Manchester united too were linked with the player in the summer and they had valued the player at $24.5million, and they are still interested in the deal.
Hummels, who plays as a central defender for Borussia Dortmund, has played under Klopp before the present manager Thomas Tuchel took over. Rumor has it that the German is unhappy under Klopp’s replacement Thomas Tuchel.
However Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke however has a different opinion. As he said
“That’s not the case. He’s a very important player, sometimes not that low-maintenance. Above all I know that he’s a decent lad,” said Watzke
Klopp is eager to reunite with his previous players. With Neven Subotic’s transfer nearly confirmed, the Liverpool manager seems to be looking out to add his old players in the Reds.
It will be interesting to see which players ends up getting transferred in the January transfer window.
