If Jurgen Klopp is not happy about anything in the premier league, it will be the tight schedule. Klopp has made it clear that he is not happy with the tight schedule that exists in England. After defeating the table toppers, Leicester, on Saturday Liverpool will now have to face Sunderland on Wednesday. Klopp and his men will be looking to return from the Stadium of Light with three points in their bag. Liverpool are very much affected with injuries and we cannot expect much changes in their team, despite the busy fixtures. Here is Liverpool’s predicted line-up to face Sunderland:
Goalkeeper – Simon Mignolet
Simon Mignolet returned to Liverpool’s starting eleven from an injury against Leicester and he put up a decent performance. He did not have much to do, despite the amazing form of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez. He was able to keep the clean sheet and he will be looking for another one against his former side in the last match of the year, 2015.
Defenders – Nathaniel Clyne, Dejan Lovren, Mamadou Sakho, Alberto Moreno
Liverpool full backs did a great job to restrict the Leicester attacks from the wings. Riyad Mahrez is a key player for Leicester, but Moreno did a great job to restrict him. Clyne too did a great job when Mahrez tried to change his wing. Clyne and Moreno are Liverpool’s most consistent players and Klopp cannot drop them, especially considering the lack of options Liverpool have for the full back positions.
Dejan Lovren was declared as the man of the match against Leicester by many of the fans and they are right to do so. Lovren put up an amazing performance and really pocketed Vardy. Mamadou Sakho, on the other hand, has not fully found his form after returning from injury but still he put up a decent performance on Saturday.
Liverpool have kept four clean sheets from the six matches where Lovren and Sakho have played together and the defensive pair will be looking to keep up that stat on Wednesday.
