Liverpool

Despite fighting hard Liverpool had to face a defeat at the hands of their old rivals, Manchester United, last week. The Reds were again called into action against Exeter in the replay of FA Cup third round fixture on Wednesday, but unlike the senior team, the young guns stepped up and gave Liverpool a 3-0 victory against the league two side.

Liverpool are again called into action when they face Norwich who are placed 16th on the premier league table. Though Liverpool lost against Manchester United, the players played well. Will Klopp make any changes to the team? Will any players who impressed for Liverpool in the FA Cup play on Saturday? Here is Liverpool’s predicted line-up for their match against Norwich:

Goalkeeper – Simon Mignolet

Mignolet was one of those senior players who started for Liverpool against Exeter on Wednesday. However the Belgian had a very quiet night and barely had a save to make. Although, he has received a lot of stick from the fans recently, Klopp has said that Mignolet is a ‘Perfect Package’ which will be a huge confidence booster for him. He will be looking to forget his setbacks and turn the tables.

Defenders – Nathaniel Clyne, Steven Caulker, Mamadou Sakho, Alberto Moreno

Alberto Moreno

Liverpool’s defence was quiet good against Manchester United and was worthy of a clean sheet. However, they have found it difficult to defend corners and set pieces recently and this weakness led to Manchester United’s only goal of the match.

Liverpool’s latest signing Steven Caulker is known for his aerial abilities and he might get an opportunity to showcase his talents against Norwich this week. Clyne and Moreno were active on the wings and also did their defensive responsibilities well on Sunday. Mamadou Sakho is slowly returning to his full form after returning from injury. He is a key player for Liverpool and he will be continuing in Liverpool’s defence.
