Strongest Possible Liverpool Line Up To Face Leicester City – Lovren Back, Firmino To Continue As Striker

After resting 10 of his key first team players against West Ham, Jurgen Klopp will now have a fresh squad with him ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Leicester.  The Foxes got promoted to the premier league last season and somehow managed to survive the relegation battle and this time around they have surprised everyone by becoming the league leaders. They are three points ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal, who are second and third on the league table respectively. Liverpool will face a touch challenge from Leicester when the two sides meet on Tuesday, but the biggest positive for Liverpool will be that their players have got the rest they needed and they will be fresh for the game.

Here is Liverpool’s predicted line-up to face Leicester:

Goalkeeper – Simon Mignolet

Mignolet was one of the three Liverpool players who started against both Norwich (league match on last Saturday) and West Ham (FA Cup fourth round on Saturday). Mignolet had a very quiet night against the Hammers, but will have a much busier game against Leicester. Mignolet received some confidence after he helped Liverpool to win against Stoke and progress to the finals of the Capital One Cup finals. He will be hoping to build on it.

Defenders – Nathaniel Clyne, Dejan lovren, Mamadou Sakho, Alberto Moreno

Nathaniel Clyne is the second player who played against both Norwich and West Ham. But the Englishman man had sustained a slight injury between the two games. Clyne was not available for Liverpool for their match against Stoke due to a slight injury but he returned to the starting line-up for their game against West Ham. He is expected to continue in Liverpool’s defence.

It was Steven Caulker and Dejan Lovren to who started as the centre backs for Liverpool. Kolo Toure and Mamadou Sakho were rested by Klopp and though Caulker and Lovren put up impressive performances, it is expected that Sakho alongside Lovren will be Liverpool’s centre backs against Leicester. Alberto Moreno was also rested against West Ham and Brad Smith was given a chance to shine. The young Australian did well but we expect Moreno to return to Liverpool’s starting line-up.
