Liverpool scouts and management will has some good news. The chase for Pierre-Emerick Aumabameyang is going to be positive given the recent comments from the Borrusia Dortmund chief executive.

“If an offer comes, then we need to discuss it,” Watzke said.

However, the Reds may have to offer a world record fee to make a deal happen.

“If it should go into the hundreds of millions, then we also need to talk to the player,” Watzke added.

Hans-Joachim Watzke, the CEO of Borussia Dortmund has said that they will be listening to offers for the player. The striker has been in a red hot form this season and has become one of the hottest properties of Europe. He had been a point of interest for Liverpool even before he scored 29 goals in 29 appearances.

Liverpool tried to sign a striker this January transfer window but their chase consist of mainly Alex Teixeira of Shakhtar Donetsk. Two bids of £24 million and £28 million were rejected by the Ukranian club as they value the player at £38 million. Now it is expected that if the player continues his form then he may be worth in the range of £40 million and above in the summer. With that Liverpool are looking to reignite their pursuit of Aumabameyang.
