After an enthralling encounter against Liverpool’s bogey team, the focus now shifts to the bitter rivals in the Europa League. It’s Liverpool vs Manchester United, it really doesn’t get any bigger than this.

Both the teams have to be on their toes if they want to proceed into the quarterfinals. Liverpool slightly seem to be the better side based on form than United. But LVG’s record has been brilliant against the reds.

Let’s take a look at how Jurgen Klopp’s men will line up in the all-important first leg at Anfield:

Simon Mignolet will keep his place in the starting lineup and the Belgian looked good against Palace and made a stunning save of Bolasie.

In defense, Nathaniel Clyne might play left against like he played against Man City to accommodate Jon Flanagan on the right. Lovren – Sakho pairing looked solid for most of the time at Selhurst Park and the boss wouldn’t want to change the back four against the old foes.

After being impressive in recent matches, Emre Can needs to play at his best against United. Jordan Henderson and James Milner needs to up the ante to break United’s play.

Coutinho may return to the starting eleven after a much-deserved break and his cameo in the last game, proves that he is in good touch. Roberto Firmino is the best player at the moment for Liverpool and has a guaranteed starting berth.

Daniel Sturridge may start after a week’s rest and Klopp will hope that the Englishman proves to be the match winner that he is.

Predicted Liverpool starting lineup:

Mignolet, Clyne, Sakho, Flanagan, Can, Henderson, Milner, Coutinho, Firmino, Sturridge.
