One of the major troll every Liverpool fans face on the internet is the club’s League Title drought for 26 years. And as it stands, the Liverpool owners FSG are determined to end the wait.

As stated by Mirror, Brendan Rogers has warned the current manager Jurgen Klopp that he will be expected to win the title next season. Especially considering that the club is apparently putting aside £100 million for Klopp to bolster the squad in the summer. The ex-manager has praised Klopp but has told him that a huge expectation weighs on his shoulders but expects that the German manager will need time to deliver results.

Brendan Rogers managed to reach the second place two season earlier after being the favorite to win the title towards the end of the season. Post that they sold Luis Suarez to Barcelona and has not been able to improve upon their season. With that, Rogers was fired earlier this season and Klopp has taken over.

Rogers however had the following to say, “They have a very good manager in Jurgen Klopp in place,”

“It’s going to take time to bed in his methods and how he wants to work. He has some very good players there.

“The expectancy, of course, is to win the league. We went very close in my time and obviously Jurgen will go in and feel that he can improve on that and that’s why the owners made the change.

“They felt they wanted to improve and to improve on runners-up would be to win the league, but it’s going to take time. I’m sure the owners will give him that time.”
