Havard Nordtveit was linked with a move to Liverpool in the January transfer window. The player, at that time, had his future in doubt considering that his contract was yet to be renewed at Borussia Monchengladbach. However now Mirror has reported that the a contract renewal is not going to happen and signalling that the player will leave the club at the end of the season.
Nordtveit was an Arsenal player between 2007 and 2010 but did not manage to get a single game in the Arsenal jersey during his tenure. He later joined Borussia Monchengladbach and has made 179 appearances for the club since then. Now the player is set to move back to Premier League but the destination is not yet confirmed.
The report from Mirror states that Liverpool will be battling West Ham United an Arsenal for the player’s signature. While interest from Arsenal for an old player is a matter of doubt, West Ham will be a competition for Liverpool.
