Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been linked with a summer move to Napoli. The player has just returned from injury which has been the only consistent thing in his career over the last few years.
When not injured Sturridge is a fantastic striker who has scored 46 goals in 79 appearances for Liverpool. Considering that he has spent most of his time in the treatment center it does make Liverpool and Sturridge both to try something different.
Napoli are said to be willing to offer £20 million for the player to replace Gonzalo Higuain. The Argentine striker has refused to renew a contract and is likely to move out of Naples in the summer. 26-year-old Sturridge may be a suitable replacement for Higuain if the trainers can keep the striker fit and free from injury. Daniel Sturridge is one among several names that could be written off the squad next season as Reds plan a massive overhaul of the club.
