Liverpool officials have confirmed that Jon Flanagan has renewed his contract at the club. The defender’ contract was set to expire in the summer but now he has committed another three years to the Reds.
In spite of not having featured a lot, the player has impressed Jurgen Klopp enough to gain a new contract. Flanagan missed 20 months with a knee injury that sometimes looked like will end his career altogether but the player has bounced back and post the injury has shown some impressive performance that has also won the fans’ hearts.
Player himself has agreed that he is very happy to be back and to be able to renew a third contract with Liverpool. As Jurgen Klopp rebuilds the team in the summer, more players like Flanagan will definitely be helpful for the German coach. Looks like the 23-year-old will be a big part of the plan next season under Jurgen Klopp.
