Christian Benteke made a name for himself while he was at Aston Villa. Ever since his £32.5 million move to Liverpool the player has been a flop at Anfield. In the recent times, he has declared that he wants to stay back and prove his credentials but Liverpool seems to be thinking something different.
The player currently earns a £120,000/week salary and the clubs who are interested in him are not willing to pay that massive amount to the player. West Ham United may take the player only if Liverpool will pay the striker some amount to compensate for his lower wages as per Mirror.
This has put Liverpool in a tight spot as not only they will not recover the £32.5 million paid for the Belgian to Aston Villa, but they will also have pay some money to Benteke to make the move happen. The club will need to decide soon as the summer transfer window is only a few months away.
