3 Things Jurgen Klopp Needs To Do To Beat Tottenham Hotspurs: Target Kevin Wimmer

Premier League returns after the torturous international break, and what a match it will be to start the game week. It’s Liverpool vs Spurs at Anfield, and the most important match remaining in the league for the Reds.

Liverpool have to win this fixture if they want to stand a chance to finish in the top 4. For Spurs, this is a must win game too as they have a five-point deficit with Leicester City. It is a must win game for the both the sides and considering the attacking talent present in both the sides, goals are guaranteed in the all important Clash.

The history is kind towards the reds in this fixture ; Spurs have won only once since 1998 at Anfield. Klopp’s men have to be at their best if they want all three points against Tottenham. Let’s take a look at the three things that Liverpool need to do to beat Spurs :

1. Play Jon Flanagan :

Though Alberto Moreno is fit, Klopp needs to play Flanno at left back to negate the threat by the bombarding fullbacks of Spurs. Spurs’ success this season has been because of a lot of reasons but one of the main reasons is the support of Danny Rose and Kyle Walker in their attacks. If the reds want a result against the title contenders, they need to keep a check on opponent’s fullbacks. Alberto Moreno has his defensive weaknesses and it will be important to play a more defense minded player.
