According to a report from the Express, Liverpool has targeted Kieran Tierney as a summer target. The 18-year-old defender has only made debut this season but has impressed the club and the country equally in 25 appearances.
The teenager has been handed an international cap by the Scotland manager as they beat Denmark on Wednesday. The effect? Liverpool scouts have sat up and taken notice. Jurgen Klopp is looking for a left back in the market coming summer and Tierney makes an interesting prospect. Liverpool’s current left-back Alberto Moreno is suffering from poor form and fitness issues and the Reds are set to replace him in the summer.
According the reports from Football insider, the shortlist for left back has now been appended with Tierney’s name. Other players linked with the same role has been Jonas Hector, Ben Chilwell and Raphael Guerreiro. The Reds are apparently willing to fork out £10 million for the Celtic defender.
