Ilkay Gundogan is expected to start at Anfield and the midfield of Weigl, Gundogan and Durm have to be pressured at each point of the game and no space should be given for the likes of Gundogan to dictate the tempo of the game. Emre Can, Joe Allen have to be at their best and the Gegenpressing should be of the highest order at Anfield if semifinals are to be reached. Like in the first leg, constant pressure lead to chances for the reds and the same game plan needs to be executed for Tuchel’s men to make a mistake and latch on to it.
