This season has been a real Topsy turvy campaign for the reds. When some momentum had gathered and Liverpool took strides forward, one loss or a draw against the teams at the bottom of the table, drags them backwards. Jurgen Klopp has provided some great matches in his first seven months at Liverpool and the Europa League is the prime example of that.

After the season ends, the real test starts and the board has to identify the targets and work on completing the deals as early as possible. Many positions need strengthening and the attacking area where a future star with world class potential should be brought and developed under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp. This will ensure the future of the club in safe hands by creating a world class player.

The kind of player that the reds must have should be hard working, having an immense work rate and natural ability to score goals. Such type of players as the history suggests have arrived mostly from South America. South Americans have that hunger to succeed and are ready to play in tough situations. Sergio Aguero, Luis Suarez are some of the examples of World class South American attackers. Let’s take a look at the three possible South American forwards that Liverpool can target in the next summer :

1. Luciano Vietto:

The Atletico Madrid youngster has a bag of talent and has done very well in the La Liga. Born in a small town in Argentina, he was spotted early and brought to play for Racing Club. He made his debut under the then Racing coach Diego Simeone and scored a stunning hattrick. He then secured a move to Villarreal in 2014 where he scored 20 goals in the one season at Villarreal.

He then moved to Atletico Madrid and has played a handful of matches scoring three goals. He also has represented Argentina U20 and has impressed one and all. He is the kind of player that Klopp will love to have in his squad and Vietto can thrive under the pressure of the Premier League.

2. Juan Quintero:

The Columbian international has caught the eye in the Copa America has shown flashes of brilliance in his time at Porto. Quintero plays mainly in the role behind the striker and has also played sometimes on the wings. FC Porto have developed a number of talents in the recent years and the 23 year old Quintero seems to be the next big thing from the Portuguese Giants.

3. Gabriel Barbosa:

Gabriel has been likened to Neymar and both of them have very similar attributes, both are technically gifted and can score goals efficiently. Both have come from Santos, and the player nicknamed as ‘Gabigol’ is the next big thing from the Santos academy. He already has risen to fame and has played over 100 games for Santos. The 19 year old has attracted a lot of big clubs, but Barcelona have first refusal on the sale of Gabriel, who is rumored to have a release clause of €40 million. Barca may not sign him in the near future and the reds should be all over the next big thing from Brazil.
