The Reds have a chance to give the fans a hope of European nights for the next year as they host Villarreal in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final clash. Jurgen Klopp might breathe a sigh of relief with Emre Can expected to start as he joined them in training. Here is a look at the predicted line-up for the game.

Formation: 4-3-3

Goalkeeper: Simon Mignolet

Mignolet should start the game and will have to be on his toes and try and avoid Villarreal get the away goal.

Defence: Clyne, Toure, Lovren, Moreno

The Reds have defensive woes with a suspension to Sakho. They tried to play Skrtel in the game against Swansea but it didn’t turn out well. Toure should partner Lovren at the back and try to contain the Villarreal attacks. Clyne has been solid at the right back position and should be starting this one. Moreno can capitalize on his recent form and start the game at the left back position.

Midfield: Milner, Can, Allen

Liverpool is delighted see Emre Can in the training. If he is fit, he should start in the defensive midfield position. Klopp should go ahead with three in the midfield as it will be a midfield battle which will decide the fate of the game. Allen should start on the right side as he has been in sparkling form and has been very active in the middle. Milner should be starting from the left midfield position and should support Can in winning the midfield battle. His work-rate will be put to test in this one and it will be a good battle to witness for the fans.

Attack: Lallana, Sturridge, Coutinho

Adam Lallana should be given the nod on the right wing position and Coutinho should take up the left flank. In the away game, Liverpool were not able to create attacking threats and too many chances and this time they will have to turn that around. For this to happen, attacks from the wings will be crucial in deciding the fate of the game. The Reds have relied on Phillippe Coutinho in the big games and this time also he will have to produce the same magic. He should start from the left flank and make those runs inside the box. Daniel Sturridge should start the game for Liverpool. This will be the ideal chance for him to silence all the critics surrounded in the last week and show his worth to the fans and the manager.
