Yet again, the Kop faithful was at its loudest as they cheered their team to another final. It is said that Liverpool have some of the best supporters and Villarreal can vouch on this fact now. The tie marked the return of the talismanic midfielder and the future of Liverpool. He is compared to Steven Gerrard and his leadership abilities at such a young age are one of the many reasons for the comparison. His presence was vital in his side’s brilliant display and his return was a big boost ahead of the game for the manager. The midfielder is at the right club at the right time and he definitely has a bright future ahead of him.

Fantastic Firmino

Roberto Firmino showed his true class as an attacker in the game. He was everywhere – making those runs and creating chances for his teammates. His attacking flair is an asset to his side and he made his presence felt up-front. The Brazilian also showcased the Samba in his own way and Villarreal were not able to match his abilities.

Silverware – the silver lining for this season

Jurgen Klopp has managed to take his side to a European final in his first ever season at the club. Liverpool have not had a great season in terms of their league standings but all of that can be excused if the manager brings silverware to the club. The fans are awaiting a trophy and the wait may just end on the 18th of this month. A trophy would mean the world to the players as well as the supporters and this victory gives a lot of hopes to everyone.
