Liverpool are gearing up for a busy summer and while a host of German players has been linked with the Reds, looks like charity begins at home after all. As per Mirror, the club has joined the chase for Reece Oxford from West Ham United.
Last summer Liverpool tried to sign Oxford even before the player made a debut for the Hammers but failed in their attempt. Now that he has broken into the first team, has not deterred Liverpool and the club is willing to go head to head with the Manchester clubs who too are reported to be interested.
The player is only 17 year old and has shown his versatility in the English Premier League with an impressive display as a center back and a defensive midfielder. Jurgen Klopp is hoping that his reputation of promoting young players will give them an edge over the rivals for the chase of Oxford. Also recently the player has turned down a contract extension hinting at desire to leave the club.
