The Merseyside club Liverpool has really revived under Jürgen Klopp, and the manager brought back the confidence that was lacking in the players. He went on to lead the side to 2 cup finals and gave a glimpse of what damage they can do next season. Almost every player played out of their skins and it seems like they are all set for a new conquest.

Many ins and outs are expected in the coming transfer window in Liverpool as the manager will be looking forward to reshape the team in order to compete for the honour. And with the managers like Antonio Conte, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho joining the league, Jürgen Klopp will have to play cautious while dealing with transfers. Liverpool’s midfield is bagged with extraordinary talent. The likes of Philippe Coutinho, Firmino and Lallana can surely take the side to the next level if a perfect center forward is brought.

Obviously, the priority task for the German manager will be establishing a perfect number 9 and then the left back, but besides that, he can trust his team blindly. He has bought a replacement for the inconsistent Belgian Simon Mignolet, a partner for Dejan Lovren; Joel Matip, and is in the hunt for Lorient left back Raphael Guerreiro.

But besides all these players coming into the team, the fans might think of the future of their ‘Welsh Pirlo’ Joe Allen. The 26-year-old Welsh international has been at Liverpool since 2012, but was still unable to set a permanent footing at Anfield until last year. Just like many other players from the side, Jurgen Klopp’s arrival has rejuvenated Allen’s performance.

He barely started for Klopp, but always put a positive impact on the game whenever he stepped onto the field. Now, it is reported that Allen’s future as a Red is in immense doubt and the reason being; the arrival of Marco Grujic and the speculation of Mahmoud Dahoud’s transfer to Liverpool. If that happens, the Welsh Pirlo’s game time will be gutted.

To be fairly honest, Klopp must hold on to Allen simply because he is as precious as any other player at Anfield. He doesn’t have the physique like Emre Can, but his work rate is superb. Klopp prefers a 4-2-3-1 formation where Allen is usually deployed as a the number two holding midfielder. Allen did have a tough career as a Liverpool man, Klopp can utilize the Welsh international like he used Ilkay Gundogan and Sven Bender at Dortmund.

Milner will be preferred ahead of Allen without any doubt, but the English International delivers well when deployed on the wings. Besides that, the club’s skipper Jordan Henderson is always having his affairs with injuries and that leaves Allen for the central midfield role. He doesn’t score many goals, but he plays with confidence that holds the team together. During Klopp’s 5-6 months of Liverpool’s tenure, he has made Allen a fan favourite from nowhere, and letting him go would surely hurt the fans.

He is a very good reader of the game and sometimes reads the early ball which helps him to intercept the opponent’s attack.  He is always well disciplined on the field and is never afraid of throwing himself for a challenge. He might look dizzy physically, but his distribution of the ball makes him one of the best in the team.

As I stated earlier, Allen is a precious property of Liverpool and letting him go would surely affect the team some way or the other.
