FC Porto’s youngster Ruben Neves has become a Liverpool target as the club is reported to be preparing for a bid to land the talented player. According to the report from Mirror, a Portuguese newspaper, Jurgen Klopp is keen on the 19 year old and has included Neves’ name in his short list of transfer targets.
Neves is still a teenager, but is considered as one of the most promising young midfielders in Europe. He has also showed maturity and leadership by becoming the captain of the team in a Champions League game last season. There is a release clause of £31 million in his contract as per the reports and Liverpool may have to reach that to sign the young talent.
The amount should not be a roadblock as Liverpool has signed a few players already and few of them are free transfers. Moreover Jurgen Klopp is said to be given a kitty of £100 million and he is sure to generate some more transfer revenue by selling players.
