Things develop pretty quickly in the football world. Just a couple a days back there were news that Phillippe Coutinho is being courted by Barcelona and PSG and now reports from Metro has revealed that Liverpool has rejected a bid for the Brazilian.
A £23 million bid was reportedly made by PSG. The French club got the jump on Barcelona and tested out the Reds’ resolve to keep hold of their midfielder. However Jurgen Klopp is said to be keen to keep hold of the player and has rejected the bid. The player has been at the club for last three seasons and has become one of the most prominent performers for the Merseyside club in the recent times.
Any club wanting to sign Coutinho will likely have to pay over the odds for the player and it is strange that PSG tried to pry away the player for a sum of £23 million.
