Liverpool has been one of the early birds of the transfer market having confirmed deals for Joel Matip, Marko Grujic and Loris Karius already. However Jurgen Klopp is still looking to add more quality to the team and now reports from Gazzetta say that the Reds may hijack a Napoli target in the coming days.
According to the report, Napoli have offered Hector Herrera a five year contract to join them. However Reds are also interested and while the Serie A side are favorites to sign him, Liverpool are preparing to swoop in and snatch the midfielder. The Italian club has offered €18 million for the player while FC Porto are holding out with a demand of €20 million.
Liverpool has identified this as an opportune moment to strike and will bid for the player in the coming days. The Mexico international is currently at Copa America tour but his future for his club career will be decided in next few days.
