Reports from the Tribal Football claim that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen on signing Real Madrid player Martin Odegaard into the squad this summer. Odegaard trained at Liverpool’s Melwood training ground before joining the Spanish club last year. However, the player has not made it into the first team so far and reports suggest that the player is looking out for a new club to move into.
Klopp has attempted to sign Odegaard in the past, having the youngster train at Borussia Dortmund as he considered his options as a Stromsgodset player.
“Jurgen Klopp even spoke with me,” revealed Odegaard at the time. “He introduced me to the club, told me what Dortmund think about me and the sporting opportunity they can offer me.”
The youngster also stated:
“Liverpool have always been my dream club. But I will not let this affect my decision when I choose a new club.”
The Reds have been having negotiations with Poland international Piotr Zielinski with regards to a potential move, according to Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi. Zielinski has spent last two years at Empoli on a loan deal from Udinese and is one of the priority targets for the Reds.
“I would advise Zielinski to join Maurizio Sarri at Napoli,” Corsi told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, when questioned over the 22-year-old’s future.
“That’s nothing against Klopp, who has been talking to the player since January. Therefore Liverpool moved forward, including in the head of the lad, who now has it in his mind to be in the Premier League.”
Martin Skrtel has been on linked with number of clubs so far, with him currently playing in the Euro 2016, his move out of Liverpool has turned into a round of speculation only as nothing gets finalized for sure. Recent reports on the player’s transfer states that the player’s agent has claimed that Skrtel may be heading to Inter Milan this summer. But again the player has been linked with Turkish side Fenerbahce and Besiktas, while few days back, he was sure to move to Roma and now Inter Milan too may be the player’s destination this summer.
His Agent stated:
“Soon we will know something more, I think in a few days. There are several teams (Roma, Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Galatasaray, editor’s note), including Inter, which is certainly a distinct possibility. Martin He is a great player. Mancini? Let’s talk about a great coach, but as I said there is to wait. Not much yet, but one has to wait. “
