Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to bring in Sadio Mane from Southampton this summer. According to the Liverpool Echo the German boss wants to continue with the Reds tradition of bringing in players from Southampton as they try and acquire the services of the Senegalese player.
The Reds have formerly brought in Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren from the club and Mane will be the next player to head to the Merseyside from the South coast.
While Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his squad for his first full season as the club manager, the Reds are trying to secure the player’s signature for the same. Reports further claim that Mane is the priority target for the Reds this summer instead of Andros Townsend, from Newcastle, who has been linked with a potential move to the Anfield this summer.
Although the lack of Champions League football next season may end up working as a disadvantage for the Reds securing the player’s signature.
