Three Signings That Will Make Liverpool A Balanced Side

The transfer season is entering it’s peak period and also the Euro 2016 is about to end. Football clubs are rushing to get deals done for their targets. Some clubs have already signed some of their targets and are hoping to sign many more.

Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp have completed three signings this summer and many more business is expected at Anfield in July. Liverpool have signed a Goalkeeper, a Defender and a Winger so far, but still there are some areas that Liverpool needs to work on to make them a balanced side.

Here are three potential Liverpool signings that will make Liverpool a balanced side:

1. Mahmoud Dahoud:

Liverpool desperately need a new Central Midfielder and Klopp has realized this too. The German had been targeting Dahoud for some time now and really want to bring him to Anfield. A reported 20 Million bid from Liverpool for Dahoud had been turned down by Borussia Monchengladbach in June. The German club have already lost two of their key central midfielders and don’t want to lose another. They are really stern on their decision to not let Dahoud go this summer.

At the moment, it looks unlikely that Liverpool will be able to land Dahoud, but the fact that Klopp really wants him may cause another twist in the story.
If Liverpool really can’t get Dahoud, they should turn their attention to Ruben Neves of Porto. The 19 year old is not so similar to Dahoud but is another very rated talent. He has already captained the Porto side at the age of 19 and that shows his leadership qualities and maturity.
Neves or Dahoud. Any one of them will be a great addition to the Liverpool squad.

2. Jonas Hector:

The Left Back position has been a cause of real concern for Liverpool for the past few seasons. It’s already time that the Reds take care of it. If the English media are to be believed, Klopp wants Hector at Anfield.
Jonas Hector is currently with Germany at the Euros. The Koln defender has found himself a starting eleven spot in the national team due to his performances for the club last season. Even for Germany, the 26 year old has done extremely well.
Hector focuses on his defensive responsibilities and also does not fail to provide attacking services which makes him a perfect left back.
Hector is rated at around 12-15 Million and for such a rate, it would be a great deal for Liverpool. And above all, they will be able to solve their left back problems.

3. Gabriel Mercado:

The right back position also used to be a cause of concern for Liverpool until last season. The signing of Nathaniel Clyne last summer has solved that problem for Liverpool, but still the Red do not have a back up for the Englishman.

Several journalists have linked Liverpool with River Plate right back, Gabriel Mercado. The Argentinean is a decent right back and might be available for an amount as cheap as 3 Million. He is a decent tackler and also good at feeding the ball to the attackers. The 29 year old might be the perfect back up for Clyne at Anfield.

The chances of all these signings happening is unknown, but these three players will make Liverpool a balanced side for next season and can help the team to challenge for a top 4 spot next season.
