No one expected the reds to reach two cup finals last season after a dismal start but one man was the main reason and in eight months has captivated the interests of the supporters and the owners alike which resulted in a new deal for the German which keeps him at the club till 2022. It was essential for the Club to get hold of its biggest asset as players may come and go but this is the man that will bring the glory days back at Anfield. The transfer window will be essential to build up the squad as per the manager’s liking and as per the transfers that have gone by till now, Liverpool are on course for a good season ahead.

Many talented players are being linked to the club every day but hardly any of them have any truth linked to it. Rumours start for every position and the most stupid rumour of this summer would be that the reds offered Nathaniel Clyne to Barcelona which has absolutely no truth in it. The supporters should be patient and trust the manager completely as he knows what the team needs better than anyone at the moment and has the experience of building a team from scratch. With all the speculated names, let’s take a look at the three signings that would make this transfer window perfect for Liverpool:

1. Mahmoud Dahoud:

Dahoud

The talented midfielder from Borussia Monchengladbach is said to be a target for the reds for the past month and Klopp is an admirer of the 20 year old who is known to control the tempo like no other at his age and surely will be one of the best midfielders in the world in the coming years. Liverpool will have to shell out a large chunk of money to secure him as the German side has already lost one midfielder, Granit Xhaka to the gunners. If the reds do manage to sign him, Dahoud has all the qualities to become one of the world’s best at Anfield.

2. Jonas Hector:

The left back position is an issue of debate since the last season as Moreno has divided opinion in the fan base as his talent is for everyone to see but his errors have proved costly for the reds in crucial games. A left back is being targeted by Klopp this summer with Ben Chilwell and Jonas Hector, the prime targets. Hector should get the nod over the youngster from Leicester though the German’s price is too high as he has experience of playing at the highest level that Moreno and Chilwell lacks. Hector is a solid defender and the reds will have the best Fullbacks in the country with Clyne and Hector if Liverpool do manage to sign the Cologne star.

3. Gonzalo Higuain:

Gonzalo Higuain

This is a long shot as it will be very difficult to lure the Argentinian without Champions League and will also cost in a region of £40-50 million. Higuain is a proven goalscorer though and will surely add goals and that X-factor into the squad. With Benteke being offloaded to Crystal Palace, there is a place for a striker and it is also being highly speculated that the reds are in the market for a striker. Sturridge is the no. 1 striker at the moment, but considering his fitness issues, it will be a perfect transfer for the reds to add more steel and a striker who can score 20+ goals a season.
