Liverpool forward Christian Benteke is set to leave the Anfield this summer, while Liverpool are still holding out a deal so as to recoup the £32m that they decided to pay Aston Villa for the player.
Benteke joined the Reds last season while Liverpool was managed by Brendan Rogers from Aston Villa. However the highly rated player did not manage to impress at the Anfield and further not fitting into the Reds’ current manager Jurgen Klopp’s plans has paved his exit route even clearer.
Benteke is supposedly desperate to complete his move to Crystal Palace, who are keen on signing the player and if reports are to be believed then the deal may be completed within a day or two.
The player is set to head to Selhurst Park and will be the highest earning player in the club’s history, while Palace get a top-level centre-forward. The only thing remaining to be agreed upon is the transfer fee while the player has already agreed to the personal terms.
