Liverpool and Manchester United are ready to battle it out for the German international’s signature. It has been some time since both the clubs are linked with a prospective move for Wolfsburg midfielder Julian Draxler and it will not be a surprise if the arch rivals have a serious bid battle for the player.
Draxler moved to Wolfsburg only last summer from Schalke in a deal worth £25.2m and if reports are to be believed then it will cost Liverpool and United an amount north of £30m so as to sign the player into their respective squads.
The 22 year old player had an impressive season at Wolfsburg scoring nine goals and providing eight assists in 35 appearances for the club. Draxler further grabbed attention with his excellent displays in the European Championships starting number of games for Germany.
Although Liverpool is currently has number of midfielders in the squad, however with Philippe Coutinho used on the wide role and Roberto Firmino favored as a support striker or in the forward line, Klopp may end up making place for Draxler in the squad.
