The Merseyside club Liverpool is now preparing to start the new season with bang! Their German manager Jurgen Klopp is working to build the team according to his plans and till date, he has been doing a great job. With Mignolet failing to prove himself to the manager, Klopp decided to sign Loris Karius to replace the Belgian.

Besides him, Joel Matip and Sadio Mane, who featured in the 1-0 victory against Tranmere Rovers few days back are also expected to play a big role in Klopp’s triumph next season. The 49-year-old has recently signed a new long term contract with the reds and that shows how dedicated he is towards the club, which have a great history.

Liverpool has been crying out loud to bring a major trophy to the Anfield for almost 10 years, and many believe that the German is now the perfect man to guide them to the glory. During his initial 8 months at the club, he guided them to two cup finals, but unfortunately, the side failed the win any.

With all that done, Klopp will be entering the season without a Champions League football, and that could serve as a blessing in disguise. In the process of rebuilding the team, many names have been linked with the squad, and very recently, it is rumoured that Klopp is preparing a massive bid for a German playmaker, and here, we are not talking about Gotze. The Telegraph has reported that Jurgen Klopp is ready to bring Julian Draxler to Anfield after he failed to sign Mario Gotze.

draxler

Draxler, who joined Wolfsburg last summer from the fellow German side Schalke was one of the brightest prospects in the recently concluded European Championship. His form was brilliant and that forced Germany manager Joachim Low to pick him over Mario Gotze. He made 34 appearances for Wolfsburg, who reached the quarter finals of the Champions League and played a major role to beat Real Madrid in the first leg.

Draxler is one of the most versatile players in the industry and therefore, he can be used on various positions on the field. But besides all of his right doings, we honestly feel that Draxler would find it difficult to find a first team place at Anfield. Not just at Anfield, he will have to suffer a lot at the Emirates as well.

It surely is a plus point that he could work from almost every attacking position, but Liverpool already have the players, who have impressed Jürgen Klopp to acquire the first spot and buying Draxler means, the team will have to start everything from the beginning. It is very much obvious that Klopp would use Coutinho on the left flank and mane on the right. That means Draxler will have to fight Firmino for the attacking midfield area.

The fact that Draxler is one of the best prospect in the industry is on its side, but talking practically, there is no real space for the German at Anfield. Besides that, with the lack of Champions League football squad rotation would be minimum and that would automatically reduce the game time of the German as a Liverpool man.

There is no doubt that Draxler is one of the best in the business, but we feel that his move to Liverpool will affect his game time, and hence, staying with Wolfsburg would be a better option for Draxler.
