Liverpool are enjoying a good run in their pre-season friendlies so far, and now, the manager will be looking to replicate the same form in the Premier League next season. The arrival of the top managers like Antonio Conte, Pep Guardiola, and Jose Mourinho has increased the level of the league and to achieve the paramount, the German manager will have to work very hard with the squad.

It is clear that so far, the 49-year-old German has identified the key areas where Liverpool need upgradations and he has started working on it as well. The arrival of Sadio Mane has made the Liverpool’s attacking trio faster than ever. Loris Karius is most likely to replace the error-prone Belgian international Simon Mignolet between the sticks and Joel Matip will fill the void of recently departed Kolo Toure and Martin Skrtel.

Now, many believe that the manager is in the market to sign a new central midfielder, who could compliment the energetic game of Emre Can and besides that, the manager will also have to work on team’s issues on the left area. I’m talking about Alberto Moreno. The 24-year-old Spaniard, who joined Liverpool back in 2014 has been struggling a lot to convince the Anfield spectators and almost every single fan wants him to be replaced.

The former Sevilla defender was heavily criticized after Liverpool’s defeat to Sevilla in last season’s Europa League final. Now with that being said, we give you 3 perfect and realistic replacements for Moreno besides Jonas Hector:

    1. Jose Gaya-

The Spanish U-21 international Jose Gaya is an unknown figure in the industry, but his defending has been praised by a lot of football professionals. Gaya has become a regular first team player for Valencia for the last couple of years, and it is safe to say that he was one of the most promising players in the La Liga last year.

Just like Moreno, the 21-year-old is a pure attacking full-back, who loves to drive himself forward and delivers some accurate crosses in the box. But unlike Moreno, Gaya is the ever present personnel at the back. Last season, the Spaniard won 54% of his average duels and that is an impressive figure.

    1. Ricardo Rodriguez-

The Switzerland international is a goal-scoring fullback and is regarded as one of the toughest defenders in the sport. The 23-year-old Rodriguez is an important asset to Wolfsburg. But according to the news from the Daily Mail, Rodriguez has told his club that wants to leave and if that is the news, Liverpool should work fast because it is reported that Arsenal are also in the chase.

Rodriguez played 24 games for the German side last year and was awarded as the man of the match four times. He won 51% of his average duels and scored two goals, registering 3 assists. The 23-year-old possesses a strong and muscular physique and is known for his tireless work on the field and therefore, he could become one of the best signings for the club.

    1. Mattia De Sciglio-

I would have stated Lucas Digne because he would have come in handy, but the 22-year-old Frenchman recently joined the Catalan giants FC Barcelona. But to be very honest, his move to Spain is unjustified because Barcelona already have Jordi Alba for the position and he is well capable of out powering Digne for the first team spot.

Anyways, with Digne not an option now, Liverpool could go for Mattia De Sciglio. The 23-year-old was Conte’s regular performer in the Euro 2016, and if the reports are to be believed, then Liverpool are currently monitoring the Italian’s availability. Naturally a right footed player, Mattia could operate the game from left as well. Regarded as the heir of Paolo Maldini at San Siro, the player could well be tempted if Liverpool makes an offer.
