Liverpool Transfer News; New Player From Bundesliga Arriving Soon, Klopp Ready To Pay £20m To Land This Dutch Playmaker

The Reds have already signed four players into the squad this summer and if reports are to be believed then Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is far from finishing with the transfer business this summer, as he expects one or two more to come and a few to leave the Anfield this summer.

He said:

“That will happen, a few things will happen I am pretty sure.

“I don’t know exactly what but on both sides, it makes no sense to stay in the squad and be in the squad when you don’t have a real opportunity to play. 

“When there’s no chance to play, it makes absolutely no sense. The players are young. 

“We will not give on loan our very young players, absolutely no chance. 

“We have a few players, maybe who want to leave us and I am pretty sure it will happen – and one or two more players will join us from other clubs. 

“It’s a long time until the 31st of August and we have to work a little bit.”

Liverpool are close to completing the signing of 30 year old Ragnar Klavan from Augsburg. The player will be heading to the Anfield in a deal worth £4.2m. The German manager Jurgen Klopp is in an urgent need for a defender and Klavan seems like his best option for the same.

According to reports from the Express Sport, the Reds are looking to sign Newcastle midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum in a deal worth £20m. Having been frustrated over his attempts to sign Piotr Zielinski and Mahmoud Dahoud, the 43 year old German is now looking out for the Newcastle player. The Reds, however, will be facing competition from Everton and Tottenham for the player’s signature.

The Holland international scored 11 league goals last season after arriving at Newcastle in a £14.5m deal from PSV Eindhoven. All of them came at St James’ Park – with four coming in one game against Norwich.
