Klopp

The Merseyside club Liverpool have kicked off their pre-season friendlies in style as very recently, they defeated the fellow English side Wigan Athletic by two goals to nil. They started their friendlies with a one nil win over Tranmere Rovers, followed by the demolition of Fleetwood Town by 5-0. On 20th July, the team will be travelling to the John Smith’s Stadium to face their next opponent Huddersfield Town.

Liverpool’s 23-year-old striker Danny Ings is in a fine form recently. He opened the scoring last time out against Wigan and he may get his chance yet gain this Wednesday. On the other hand, 16-year-old Ben Woodburn has also found the net twice in three games and hence, he might get his chance as well.

Soon after the game with Huddersfield Town, Klopp’s men will travel to America to play their next friendlies. The very first stop will be Chelsea and after that, a clash against Italian giants AC Milan is scheduled.

But for now, the team will be preparing for Huddersfield Town. So, here is the predicted lineup for Liverpool that could face Huddersfield Town this Wednesday:

Goalkeeper: Lori Karius-

The 23-year-old German shot stopper made a horrendous mistake against Wigan last time out which almost gave the Reds a setback, but somehow the team survived. Besides that, he had nothing to do in the entire game thanks to Liverpool’s rock solid defence. The pre-season games will play a major role for Karius as this is the perfect occasion where he can impress the manager.

Defence: Randall; Lucas; Lovren; Flanagan-

The 20-year-old English defender Conor Randall could feature yet again for the side in the coming game. He had that attacking mentality in the last game and remained on the field against Wigan in the second half as well. The new arrival, Joel Matip suffered a knock last time out, but the manager revealed that it is not too serious, yet he might rest the towering defender for the next game and hence, the newly converted centre back Lucas might get his place. Alongside Lucas, Lovren, who was handed the captain’s armband, is likely to feature again and on the left, Flanagan might retain his position.

Holding Midfielders: Ejaria; Brannagan-

Liverpool might go with the young midfielders yet again. Ejaria played his last game with a great confidence and was praised for his brilliant distribution of the ball. On the other hand, Cameron Brannagan, who is believed to be the heir of Steven Gerrard might feature yet again. The 20-year-old played a great role last time out, therefore he could get a chance yet again.

Attacking Trio: Mane; Woodburn; Coutinho-

Possibly the best-attacking trio for Liverpool would be this. All the players are capable of running past the defenders with ease and besides that; all could compliment the striker very well. Philippe Coutinho gave a fantastic display of his skills, unluckily, he struck the post twice, but overall, he was a joy to watch. Woodburn came on for the Reds as a substitute, yet he managed to score a goal, and this time, he may be named in the starting lineup for the Reds. On the other flank, Sadio Mane will be looking to put his name on the scoresheet.

Striker: Firmino-

The Brazilian attacker looked a little lost in the previous game, but he is a hard working individual, who loves to challenge for the ball when playing as a lone striker.
