The Reds have recently acquired the services of the attacking midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum and the center back Ragnar Klavan. Jurgen Klopp is clearly looking to strengthen his squad and bring in some new pair of legs which could fit in his system. The transfer season is far from over and there is a possibility of the addition of a few more names. Considering the current squad, here is a look at what could be the line-up for the coming season for Liverpool.
Goalkeeper: Karius/Mignolet-
The new signed goalkeeper should be the first choice for Jurgen Klopp along with Simon Mignolet as the backup.
Defence: Clyne, Matip, Lovren/Klavan, Moreno-
Nathaniel Clyne looks the obvious choice as a right back due to his consistency in the last season. Joel Matip should fancy his chances in the starting 11 alongside Dejan Lovren. Ragnar Klavan might also be favoured by the manager instead of Lovren and it will be interesting to see how the manager shuffles his center backs. There is a huge possibility of the addition of a new left back as the club is linked with Jonas Hector and Ben Chilwell, but until that happens Alberto Moreno will be the first choice left back for Jurgen Klopp.
Midfield: Can, Henderson-
Emre Can had a fantastic last season and has almost cemented his position as the defensive midfielder for Liverpool. The skipper Jordan Henderson should be partnering with him and Klopp might decide to play Grujic or Milner in the midfield positions on certain occasions.
Attacking Midfield: Mane/Lallana, Firmino/Wijnaldum, Coutinho/Ings-
The attacking midfield looks much more vibrant and with options with the addition of Sadio Mane, Georginio Wijnaldum and Danny Ings returning to fitness. Klopp now has the choice to pick from six players for the attacking midfield trio. Lallana played at the right wing for the majority of last season and now he will have a tough competition with the arrival Mane. Firmino might also be considered for other positions with the arrival of Wijnaldum who is known to play at CAM. Philippe Coutinho was outstanding for Liverpool last season and he was asked to play at the left wing. With Danny Ings back, Klopp might look and explore his options for the left wing as well.
Striker: Sturrdige/Origi-
At the moment the two strikers in top contention are Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi. The latter showing a lot of promise in the second half of the season. Sturridge should be the first choice but Klopp might look to use Origi and develop the young talent.
