Liverpool defender Brad Smith is set to leave the Reds this summer as reports of his move to Bournemouth starts circulating. The player is currently having talks with Bournemouth over a £6m deal that would see the Australian international head to the South coast.
The player signed a long term contract with the Red only in November and made 10 appearances for the Reds last season. Now he is set to head to Bournemouth against whom he made his debut last season in a 2-0 victory.
Smith will be the second player to head to Bournemouth as the south coast club have already signed Jordan Ibe into the squad few weeks back in a deal worth £15m. The club is looking to complete the deal soon as Smith travels back from his US tour to have talks with the club. Like in Ibe’s contract, Smith’s contract too will include a sell-on and buyback clause.
Further, as a replacement for the defender Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is considering bringing in Aston Villa’s Jordan Amavi into the squad so as to challenge Alberto Moreno.
