Liverpool Tranfster News: Klopp’s Dig At Manchester United, No Offer For The Star Midfielder And More

The Reds manager Jurgen KLopp has commented on Manchester United signing Paul Pogba this summer in a deal worth £100m. The German manager states that after having spent that amount of money if the player gets injured then the whole things goes wasteful.

The Red Devils are closing in on a world-record deal for Paul Pogba, which looks set to smash the £85m Real Madrid lavished on Gareth Bale in 2013.

And Klopp thinks it is crazy that United are going to spend more than £100m on one player.

“If you bring one player in for £100m and he gets injured, then it all goes through the chimney,” –Jurgen Klopp.

“The day that this is football, I’m not in a job any more, because the game is about playing together.

“That is how everybody in football understands it. You always want to have the best, but building the group is necessary to be successful.”

So far the Reds have signed seven new players in the squad and as such they are on high alert for Real Madrid player Jese Rodriguez, after Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane hinted on the player’s move out of the club this summer. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger too is keeping tabs on the player as he looks to bolster his attacking options.

Real boss Zinedine Zidane has hinted Rodriguez could be on the move.

“If he wants to leave to play more, I don’t know,” Zidane said.

“It’s our first game. He’s here, he played. Everyone’s here, that’s all I can say now.”

Further the Reds are yet to table a bid for Moussa Sissoko, according to reports. The player has been valued at £35m, however Newcastle have not received any formal offer for the player. Tottenham and Juventus too are said to be interested in signing the player.

Juventus have also considered the 26-year-old in the event of Paul Pogba’s departure, though he is not top of their list.

Sissoko had an impressive Euro 2016 but the clubs have been deterred after looking deeper into his performance statistics and aligning those with Newcastle’s £30m valuation.
