Klopp

As the kickoff to the new season approaches, there is a sense of energy and enthusiasm in the Liverpool camp with existing players adapting to the new tactics and to play with the new signings. Last season started off on a low note for the Reds and the advent of Klopp came as a sign of relief for the club as there was a considerable amount of improvement in the performances. Towards the end, Liverpool were looking a much better side in terms of confidence, movement and individual performances. With the addition of new players, the line-up looks stronger as compared to last season and here are the three players to watch out this season.

Philippe Coutinho

The little magician who has been spot on since the last two seasons will be one of the key players for Liverpool this season with a lot of responsibility to be the pivot in the attacking midfield and also to score a few spectacular goals. The Brazilian has been the best player for Liverpool and with solo efforts in some crucial games; it makes him a major attacking threat going forward. Also, with the addition of Wijnaldum and the return of Ings, it will be interesting to see how the three combine.

Sadio Mane

In the last season, the right wing had not been that powerful as compared to the left, as Lallana was good but not as deadly as Coutinho. He lacked the pace and the finishing that an attacking winger must possess. However, with the inclusion of Sadio Mane, Liverpool look a stronger side on the right wing. Mane is known to have a high pressing game and should fit well in Klopp’s system. Also, the former Southampton forward is known to have good finishing abilities. Mane looks like a valuable asset to the side and if he gets into his strides, Liverpool will be an attacking threat.

Roberto Firmino

Another Brazilian who looks already settled at his new club and will be looking to hit the gun in his second season is Roberto Firmino. He had a really good second half of the season and was looking in good shape. If the two Brazilians combine well in attack along with Mane and Sturridge up front, Liverpool will surely be in contention of finishing at a much better place as compared to last season.

You will never walk alone.
